Certainly not one of Oshii's best. Far too slow with an overbearing feeling of melancholy whereas not fullfilled like his best (especially G.I.T.S.). Character animation is pretty stiff, 3d flight scenes are breathtaking. Still watchable if you are an admirer of mature animation and/or Oshii's stuff. By the way if the man uses that stupid dog once more I'll totally quit on him.
